Nurse who suffers chronic tailbone pain

My photo
I am a Registered Nurse who has suffered with tailbone pain for over 8 years. Like all chronic pain, it is essential that sufferers get the correct support, diagnosis and treatment appropriate for them as an individual. This blog follows my journey with chronic pain, it expresses my personal opinions and thoughts. It is not intended as a replacement for advice or treatment from your normal Healthcare Provider.

No change

No change to my current situation. We are still in rented accomodation. Still no wifi. The flat is tiny so it's a good job me & my huband get on so well!

We have had an offer accepted on a property, so there is light at the end of the tunnel; although as someone once said to me- hopefully not that of an oncoming train!

Gym attendance has plummeted & I have only myself to blame. So this, combined with stress & sitting around more isn't helping my pain.

I'm hoping to take 3 months unpaid leave to get our new flat feeling like 'home'...once we have the keys.

Time away from work, project managing our new place & being more active, will I hope, help improve my discomfort- which for the record, is lodged well & truly in my piriformis. It's like an unrelenting painful cramp. A real 'pain in the butt-ock'!  I've just taken paracetamol & codeine so hoping for some relief soon.

Hope you're all well out there in bloggers land!
