I am a Registered Nurse who has suffered with tailbone pain for over 8 years. Like all chronic pain, it is essential that sufferers get the correct support, diagnosis and treatment appropriate for them as an individual. This blog follows my journey with chronic pain, it expresses my personal opinions and thoughts. It is not intended as a replacement for advice or treatment from your normal Healthcare Provider.

Kidney infection

Quick update- I now have a kidney infection. I was ignoring (as much as I could) bladder pain, and problems passing urine as I thought I was just bruised internally (lots of bruises externally!) Mistake- I should have known better than to ignore anything.

I now have flank/back pain as well as bladder pain, fever and feel generally ****

Doctor has confirmed kidney infection (pyelonephritis) and prescribed antibiotics. I was due back to work this week, now I'm not sure that'll happen.

I still have my GP appointment tomorrow morning, assuming I can drag myself down there.
