Nurse who suffers chronic tailbone pain

My photo
I am a Registered Nurse who has suffered with tailbone pain for over 8 years. Like all chronic pain, it is essential that sufferers get the correct support, diagnosis and treatment appropriate for them as an individual. This blog follows my journey with chronic pain, it expresses my personal opinions and thoughts. It is not intended as a replacement for advice or treatment from your normal Healthcare Provider.

Back to work

I'm back to work next week. It'll be a staged return. This means a slow introduction back to my normal hours. I'm so scared!! I've been off for six weeks, and it's such a demanding busy role.

On the other hand - I'll have my new sit/stand station, and keeping busy, will I think be a massive help. At least I'm out and about a lot with my job (community nurse).

It is challenging finding things to do at home that involve standing. There's a limit to how much housework, ironing, cooking and walking I can do!

I need to see both my friends, colleagues and lovely patients.
