Nurse who suffers chronic tailbone pain

I am a Registered Nurse who has suffered with tailbone pain for over 8 years. Like all chronic pain, it is essential that sufferers get the correct support, diagnosis and treatment appropriate for them as an individual. This blog follows my journey with chronic pain, it expresses my personal opinions and thoughts. It is not intended as a replacement for advice or treatment from your normal Healthcare Provider.

Christmas

I hope everyone is having a lovely Christmas time.

My trouble is it involves too much sitting: visiting people (sitting), presents (sitting), eating and drinking (sitting), TV and board games (sitting)....you get the picture!! So later today I'm walking to the coffee shop if it's open. Although I'll sit to have my coffee, a walk is what I need.

It's my own fault really. I guess I could have tried standing more, or being unsociable and gone for a lie down. I do have a sore coccyx today and all around that area.

I am still remaining confident though; and still appreciate that I am nowhere near as bad as many sufferers. As they say- there is always someone worse off. So I'll raise a glass and be thinking of you and wishing you well.
