Nurse who suffers chronic tailbone pain

I am a Registered Nurse who has suffered with tailbone pain for over 8 years. Like all chronic pain, it is essential that sufferers get the correct support, diagnosis and treatment appropriate for them as an individual. This blog follows my journey with chronic pain, it expresses my personal opinions and thoughts. It is not intended as a replacement for advice or treatment from your normal Healthcare Provider.

Busy few days

I'm managing to mostly stay off my coccyx as planned. I have done lots of walking, housework, wrapping Christmas presents, writing Christmas cards, lying down.

I'm not sure if things are improving slightly, and if they are whether that is due to the Tramadol, or the above. It doesn't really matter as long as things are improving. But, it's really hard to tell as I still have pain when I sit down.

I'm off for a short break with my daughter this weekend- a spa break, which I am really looking forward to. Hopefully a proper relax will help things even more. Even then though I think- what about the car journey, what about the seats in the restaurant...everything has to be taken into consideration.

I need to forget about work too, which as yet I have not been able to do. I'm worrying about going back already which I know is so stupid :-(

Hope everyone out there is pain free!
