Nurse who suffers chronic tailbone pain

I am a Registered Nurse who has suffered with tailbone pain for over 8 years. Like all chronic pain, it is essential that sufferers get the correct support, diagnosis and treatment appropriate for them as an individual. This blog follows my journey with chronic pain, it expresses my personal opinions and thoughts. It is not intended as a replacement for advice or treatment from your normal Healthcare Provider.

Still struggling. Work today was so painful. I tried my ordinary seat, my coccyx cushion....I tried standing and crouching, but with a computer and desk at normal height this has now just given me additional lower back and neck pain to add to my coccydynia.

Unfortunately I had no visits today, so spent the day in the office glued to the phone. So I have had a full day of full on pain.

Work so far, will not provide me with any alternative chair, they will not provide me with a standing station. In fact they are doing nothing to help.

I am beginning to feel like my only option will be long term sick; at least this way I could lie down, change position, walking, gyming....anything but sitting on a painful coccyx at an uncomfortable desk.

I am beginning to despair really.
